Word Search Puzzles

I can’t seem to find much time for myself, but I do find a moment or two between working, my child, cleaning, and my husband to do something for myself. There are times when I just want to take a half an hour to do a crossword puzzle. Of course, me sitting and doing what appears to be nothing is a great way to attract the attention of my child. She always wants to come over to see what it is that I am doing. She is far to young to do these, but that does not stop her from wanting to try. Instead of letting her scribble in my crossword book, I have been looking for word search puzzles that she can do at her age.

She can not do the large word search puzzles that are for adults, but it is easy enough to make them for children, even for those who don’t know how to read just yet. They can still find short words made up of three or four letters at the most. Though they can’t read those words, they might just learn how to spell them and even sound them out while doing the word search puzzles. If you can’t make these on your own, you can find them online if you do a search. You will have to decide what level your child can do and how large you want the puzzle to be.

For adults, the word search puzzles are unlimited. They come in all sizes and shapes, and can be hard or easy. There are some that only have words up and down, and diagonal, and there are more challenging ones that have the words appearing backwards. Some have so many words that almost each letter is used once the word search puzzles are done, and some don’t have quite that many. They are still fun though, no matter what type you want to do. I usually choose crosswords today, but I still do one on occasion.

If you can’t find word search puzzles in your local store, you can find them online. Most stores have them though, and they usually come with more of the same, or a book of all different types of puzzles. The ones online are free though, for the most part, and some can be done right on the computer without printing them out. That saves money and paper. However, you can print some out to save for later, and you may find that is cheaper than buying the books in the store.
